We are Intentional in Our Practice

Why we gather together each week…
We gather to worship. We want to be able to express our love and gratitude to God for the work he
has done in, and through us, the previous week through our study, prayer and ministry to others.
We gather to share in community. We believe that God has given us one another as a safe place
where we can find life together that is whole and complete through Jesus.

Why we sing …
We sing because music provides a great opportunity to put great words of encouragement, hope and
love upon our lips.  The power of music speaks to the deepest places in our souls. We need the
emotional and spiritual connection of music to lift our thoughts and hearts to a new level.

Why we pray together…
Prayer is how we share with God the concerns of our hearts.  God cares about what matters to us.
We ask because it says we trust Him, and he answers because He knows it encourages our faith.

Why we give offerings...
We  give offerings as an  expression of our gratitude for the generosity of God to us. We do this
through our finances, the use of our talents, and the sharing of our time in order the resource the
work of God in our community.

Why we have teaching…
We believe that the teaching of the Bible transforms us Our practice is that we set certain leaders
free to prepare relevant, understandable teachings to empower the life of God within us.

Why we continue the ancient  practices...
The practices of the ancient church like baptism and communion are reminders of the work of God in
and through our lives. We participate to remember and renew our commitment to his love for us
