One thing you will notice at Green Church is that we believe that faith is not an emotional
response— but a carefully considered decision to act that grows out of a recognized need for
God. We think that you might be here because you have questions about God: Who he is and
what kinds of differences he can make in your life. In this, we would love to join with you in
helping you find what you are seeking. Like good friends who talk about important things over
coffee and share important thoughts on napkins. We want to be present for you in these ways.
What we “believe” has made a positive change and difference in our lives and we would be happy
to share it with you. The following represent possibly some of the questions and answers which
may help you make your decision today.

First, you need to know that God’s loves you and desires to be in a relationship with you... God created us in his own image
to be his friend, companion and community— to experience a full life assured of his love, presence, one that is abundant
and eternal. (See John 10:10, Romans 5:1)
But, the truth is—our choices have separated us from God...God created us in his own image to have lives that are filled with
every good thing., but we chose to go our own way thinking we could do it on our own. That is what we call “sin”. The result is
separation from God, a gap. A broken and limited experience of life. We can’t close the gap that our choices, and choices of
those before us created. (See Romans 3:23, Isaiah 59:2, Proverbs 14:12)
So, God went to extreme lengths to bridge the gap...
He chose to use His son Jesus as a substitute to pay the price for our sin. Jesus death was the only answer to this
problem, based on his own law and character. Jesus went the cross and then rose from the grave, paying the penalty in
our place for sin that justice required and bridging the gap between God and us. (See 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Timothy 2:5, Romans
5:8)
Believing, acting upon God’s offer of a relationship. Believing means trust, commitment and action. It means crossing the bridge
created by the cross. Acknowledging our separation from God, and trusting in Jesus forgiveness, allowing him to have leadership
in our lives to mend the broken relationship between God and us. (see John 3:16, John 5:24)
After reading this; Is there any reason why you shouldn’t cross over to God’s side and be certain of, not only your eternal life, but have the opportunity
to have a better life today? If the answer is “No”, please email us at info@greencommunitychurch.com and we will help you get connected to someone
who will help you to begin and live the new life and relationship you have decided upon with Jesus.
